100% Pure Jazz Drum Loops!
It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing! Jazz Essentials I was recorded the way real jazz songs are played—with intros, variations, fills, endings, and stick counts for every tempo. Because there’s nothing more frustrating than a loop library that forces you to fake your way through a complete song with just a handful of patterns.
We brought one of the Bay Area’s top jazz drummers into Studio A at Record Plant Recording Studios in Berkeley, CA (home to numerous platinum and GRAMMY® Award-winning albums) to capture some truly foundational jazz drumming. From a cool and relaxed 100 bpm to a blistering bebop at 325 bpm, this jazz sample library is all about traditional feels and phrasings. It offers all the swing you’ve been searching for. Behind a vintage Gretsch drum kit and a collection of vintage cymbals, the room really allowed the drum sounds and tones to open up and breathe. It’s not that tough to get great sounds—the kind of vibe and warmth from real drums and cymbals that jazz artists demand—when you’re in a space like we recorded in (have a look at what Record Plant, now 2200 Studios, was about here).
Whether you’re scoring production music, film score, composing new songs, or looking for backing tracks while practicing, you’ll have everything you need to build jazz drum tracks that feel and sound like a live drummer playing a real song.

Great jazz drums. I will gets tons of use out of these, especially the really uptempo ones. Thank you!

I bought some jazz drums from a competitor and they were a total let-down. Those were so “produced” I didn’t even use them more than once (and they cost more, too). The drums on Jazz Essentials 1 are much, much better. I am still working through them now weeks later!

Yes, the drum sounds are Beta Monkey samples from the Jazz Essentials I. You can get exactly what you need sensitivity wise because of the multi-velocity hits, unlike samples sold elsewhere which tend to sound like the guy hit the drum with a baseball bat.

These are all very good! I especially like the bebop-paced fast tempos, which are going to be very useful.

Thanks for the awesome loops and terrific customer service!
